Welcome to the Utah chapter of American Mensa. We are an organization that will stretch your mind and expand your horizons. Founded in 1946, Mensa is an international society that has one - and only one - unique qualification for membership: High IQ.

    Mensa has three stated purposes:

  1. Identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity.

  2. Encourage research in the nature, characteristics and uses of intelligence.

  3. Promote stimulating intellectual and social opportunities for its members.

The word "Mensa" means "table" in Latin, suggesting a meeting of the minds. We are a round-table society, where race, color, creed, national origin, age, politics, educational or social background are irrelevant. What matters is the wealth of the knowledge we share with the world.

Membership in Mensa is open to any persons who have attained a score within the upper two percent of the general population on an approved intelligence test. There are no other qualifications for membership. For more information about how to join Utah Mensa Click Here.
